I spend my days reading in my studio and working on different projects. I've been taking this time to work on the continuation of my color studies. This is something that all of you can be doing. Right now, I'm simply working on one color at a time. You can paint the color in the first box, and in the boxes below that, you can add a little white. This gives you insight into the full range of values for each hue. It doesn't require a lot of inspiration to do this study, but this study can be the impetus to give you inspiration and ideas for future paintings.
I miss all my students and seeing your smiling faces every week. Please take care of yourselves and I hope to see you all when we get through this time.
I'll leave you with my favorite Psalm.
Psalm 23: The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
