I gave sketchbooks to my students for Christmas and let everyone know that whoever had their sketchbook filled up with gesture drawings and sketches by March 1st, would be eligible for a complimentary painting by me. Roella, from my Saturday class is the winner of one of my original aspen tree paintings. I gave her three paintings to choose from and this is the one she chose. Congratulations Roella!!!
Below, I took a photo and posted one the sketches from her book. I'm glad that she is happy with her painting and that she learned a lot from doing those sketches. I've had some very nice feedback from my students regarding the positive experience using their sketchbooks.
